As Seen In: New Beauty Winter/Spring 2014

The look is all “natural”  in the Winter/Spring 2014 issue of New Beauty. By “natural,” we’re referring to the smooth skin and healthy rosy cheeks you were born with, or at least the illusion of them. In a drastic before and after, New Beauty editors took one woman with red, blotchy skin, acne breakouts, and uneven skin tones, and turned to top makeup artists, including our own lead makeup artist Jackie Fan, for tips and tricks in creating the perfect no-makeup flawless look.

Fan recommends prepping the skin first with TEMPTU BASE Smooth & Matte Primer. She says, “Primer is important to use because it preps the skin and makes it the perfect canvas for makeup by filling and diffusing lines and wrinkles.”

“A medium-colored undereye concealer was applied under the eyes to hide darkness. Then, using the TEMPTU AIRpod Foundation, Warm Beige Foundation was applied in circular motions to give the skin an even, flawless look. ‘Airbrushing is versatile. With one tool you can spot-treat and achieve broader complexion coverage,” says Fan. ‘It acts like a concealer and foundation in one.’ For a healthy flush on the cheeks, a Nude Pink Blush was airbrushed onto them. The same shade was applied to the lips. TEMPTU AIRpod Bronzer in Warm Glow was used along the perimeter of the face for natural contouring.”
