Final cuts may be up on the big screens at Sundance Film Festival in Utah but the spotlights are on the A-listers, who have been putting their best face forward, bringing along their glam squads for all occassions. Celebrity Makeup Artist Donald Simrock made the rounds, using TEMPTU on golden girls Marisa Tomei, Rinko Kikuchi, and Elizabeth Banks.

Marisa Tomei at Sundance 2014

For Tomei’s press interviews for her upcoming film “Love is Strange,” Simrock went for a warm look that would stand out in the freezing winter weather.

“We opted for a fresh sun-kissed look. Very natural. A step away from the regular Hollywood apprach,” said Simrock.

“We worked with TEMPTU’s Primer to add a polished finish to the skin before even beginning. To keep the eyes bright, we used a pale yellow pencil inside the bottom line, and finished off with individual lashes. We stayed away from any products with reflection, and used a peachy-toned cream blush to flush the cheeks. We used Boiron’s Homeoplasmine on the lips as a conditioner, and a Tom Ford lip color. We also used TEMPTU’s S/B Concealer Wheel for any final light adjustments to perfect the look before braving the cold!”

Rinko Kikuchi at Sundance

Simrock glammed Rinko Kikuchi for the press and premiere of her latest film, “Kumiko the Treasure Hunter.” “Rinko has a beautiful canvas and striking features. We opted for a neutral palate that would allow her face to stand on its own with only the lightest of enhancements,” said Simrock.

“We started the look with TEMPTU’s Primer and used TEMPTU’s AIRpod Foundation in Ivory, along with the S/B Concealer Wheel, to perfect the skin. We used a taupe pressed powder for both the eyes and for facial contour, along with TEMPTU Pro‘s Glitter Powder in Silver for highlights, and TEMPTU’s AIRpod Bronzer for warmth. Again individual lashes were used, with mascara applied only at the base of the lash. We used a long-lasting lip stain and plenty of moisturizer throughout the day!”

Elizabeth Banks at Sundance

Elizabeth Banks hosted the Stella Artois Cidre Lounge at the start of the festival. “Elizabeth has a really packed schedule, so time was of the essence when planning her look. We went for a casual yet sophisticated look.”

“We started the look with TEMPTU’s Primer, then finished the skin with TEMPTU’s AIRpod in Sand. We did a finished eye in pewter, and added individual lashes. For color to the cheeks, we used TEMPTU’s AIRpod Blush in Washed Rose and added a syrup lipstick. We finished the look with TEMPTU’s AIRpod in Pink Pearl for highlights.”
