Fall Beauty Trends to Look Out For Pt. 1
Fall is getting closer every day, and that means it’s time to update your makeup as well as your wardrobe. Whether you love ‘em or hate ‘em this year’s Fall/Winter beauty trends are all about options. In fact there are so many options we had to split them into 2 blog posts.
Fall 2011 is all about expanding on the traditional liner and cat eye we all know and love, and playing with the contours and shape of your eyes. Deep set eyes are brought out with a lined arc above your lid’s crease. Eyes that are less pronounced gain more definition by tracing the shape of the eye socket in between the nose and the inner eye. This trend may be a little much for the office, but can look right at home at a gallery opening or an independent film screening.
This Fall orange is the new nude eye. Whether you go for a subtle dusting over your lids, or go more heavy handed and line your whole eye orange peepers are HOT this season. Pair them with a pinky just came in from the cold flush, a bubblegum pink lipstick, or go monochromatic with orangy-brown lips and matching nail polish.
Forget everything you think you know about “good mascara”. This season is all about layers and layers of mascara for a thick, intense, clumpy look known only as spider lashes. What’s great about this trend is you don’t need to do a lot of lash grooming, just layer and go!
